I just wondered why everybody says to stay away from the aluminum framed CRs?

it's because it's diffrent.....
Some say that the bike is more harsh... but I think thats just more of the suspension set up and what someone read in a magazine...
While others will critize anything Honda puts out

Re: What\'s bad about aluminum framed CRs

I have a '98 CR250 with the aluminum twin spar frame and I love it. The vibration isn't that bad at all, and it does not feel to wide! It feels just right. Thats all my opinion of course, but I think the CR does great.

That's kinda what I figured. I've never owned a honda dirtbike, but in general all Honda stuff is top flight.

Re: What\'s bad about aluminum framed CRs

Personilly I like the ALumin framed CRS for now though. Give them 10 years and every one of those frmaes or gonna start breacking because the way Alumin is made. After long periods of crashes, big landings, and just plan trail riding I think the frames are gonna boom in half while your riding. Im not out to dis honda I own 2 hondas I just wouldnt want an older one in a couple of years.......

I doubt Honda would just "accidentally" forget to engineer something to last.
