Wink rt 180 question

the dilema - my son wants to get a dirt bike, cool rite. problem is I want one too and my accountant(wife) says two bike, 1 grand ... Been watchin craigslist like a hawk and ran across an rt 180 for me, what i need to know is how much bike do I need to haul my 225# arse around. will the 180 manage or do I need to skip and watch for a 250. I also found a kdx 80 for my boy, going to look at it today. He's 11 and 90 pounds, with some exp. on a bike. thnx for readin.

the rt 180 is a pretty small bike it doesnt sit that hight, power wise it will do the trick for trails and stuff like that but dont expect anything special power wise out of it, the kdx is a good starter bike the power is decent

personally i would wait for a 250 2 stroke if i were you.
