XR250R Engine question

I am looking at purchasing a 1997 XR250R that has low compression. I want to get an engine rebuild kit and rebuild. Anyone know where I can get a service manual that will guild me step by step on how to rebuild, and what parts will be needed to do a top end rebuild on an XR? Also does the bottom end need any attention when rebuilding? Any special tools needed? I figured a ring compressor, a torque wrench and a few other things will be needed. Any info will be much appreciated.
