oil in crank

I just took the cylinder of my cr 480 motor and found a light film of oil in the crank case I drove it for about one month there was very little smoke when it was at operating tempature. I was just wondering what is the worst that can happen if I did nothing? because it will cost alot to get fixed.

PERFECT!!!!as your bike breathes it pulls a fuel oil mix into the crank....some of the oil had better stay in there or it would get very expensive....howeverif it is trans oil(heard any really funny noises lately?) If you ride is otherwise ok and the oil in the crankl resembles your mix oil...dont worry...be happy...bye the way...you never said why you took of the top end anyway....have 2 480's...an 82 and an 83...in the process of rebldng the 83...82 is running strong...wont ride any thing else in the dirt....ride like ya stole it!....B
