XR 250 has leaking front forks.

Hi All,

I have a 2004 XR250R. My front forks are leaking and I want to fix it. I do not know what or how involved it is to service front forks/shocks. I think I definately need new fork seals and to re-pack them with the proper grease/oil. I do not know if my forks need to be de-burred.

My question is how involved is service to front forks? Is this something I should leave to the certified mechanics? I do alot of other maintenance myself (oil changes, air filter) but do not want to get in over my head with fixing the front forks.

Any thoughts on the difficulty of working on the front forks?

Thanks,
Tony
