Nope, sadly these are new pics, stripped apart again after a tranny shifting problem, found the dowel I thought I lost.
Sunday was the first time i rode the bike since before the Sturgis trip last summer. I was riding the sled to try to stay sane but I blew that up too.

I just got that back together too, almost 2 G for parts, Ouch! At least most of the bike mods were elective.

between the bike and the sledthe ol' piggy bank is taking a beating, I may even have to dip into the Canol Trail fund.

Addy on da way!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO1

Do continue to post info on the canol trail. I am very interested, I'm not a whiner, and would be good to have along. You could always throw me in a puddle and use me for traction.

Re: The funeral

No worries Woody, you guys are at the top of the list.
I looked into it a bit more and it seems that a fall trip when it's near freezing may be our best chance of making it end to end. The rivers should be lower and the mudholes should stiffen up a bit and there'll be no flies which is a big advantage. The flies can drive you insane.

We'd just go early enough that we don't get socked in with snow.

We have a nasty river here and I'm going to try to float my bike across with a couple of 35 inch tubes that I use for my truck.

I'd rather swim than fly, white men can't jump. I always loop out or something stupid and it always hurts!

Re: The funeral

Hey, this research is for the rest of the team. I'm just going to skip across with my ski. That way I can tie off the rope for you boys to pull yourselves across and I can get some nice shots of Kyron landing.

Re: The funeral

Had a nasty ride last night. I was at the shop working on the bike and a blizzard rolled in.

Town shut down and I was only a mile from home but nothing was moving. I didn't feel like sleeping at the shop so I waited for a break in the storm.

It just got worse so I decided at midnight to try the bike.

It took me an hour driving on the road to make it the 1 mile. most of the time was spent sitting still waiting for some visibility.

I hit some deep drifts and had to take a few detours but nothing too crazy.

Both vehicles in the pic below (taken this morning) thought they were at the intersection and made their turn into the ditch.

Things seemed to be clearing up but there's another blizzard warning for tomorrow.
