83XL200 nobody will work on it.

It's the greatest little machine, all bent up, goes everywhere I want to go and easy to get in and out of the truck. But the local mehanics in Orange County Calif say its too old and they don't want to work on it. I know, that's the way everything is nowadays; anybody know anybody in my area that will work on 'em. Also, I wouldn't mind having a backup; anybody have one they wouldn't mind selling.

The 83 XL200's were good little bikes and are quite easy to work on. I suggest you get a good service manual for it and I bet you would be able to do a lot of the work your bike needs by yourself. Also, there are a lot of use on this BB that would be willing to answer questions if you run into difficulty while working on your 200.....CRX

I have an 81 xl100.. and if the 200 is anything like the 1, then it should be easy to work on yourself. I suggest u get a manual, and try it yourself. Its a good learning experience, and good fun. If u need help, just ask. anyway, good luck.

This must be the 83XL place.
I have an 1983 XL80 that my sons ride. We have had it for a long time. A very good bike. I'm with CRX. Get a good manual and ask
Lots of questions and you should be able to do most of the work yourself.
