Honda XR650R Info

Get it here first!

Straight from the "Honda Insider" Web Site.

XR650R
Honda also showed its dealers the all-new XR650R, an aluminum-framed, liquid-cooled, four-stroke single cylinder off-road bike that replaces the legendary XR600R, a motorcycle that captured nine AMA off road championships and seven Baja victories in its ten-year life cycle. The new XR650R features Honda’s tough, yet exotic aluminum frame technology pioneered on the CR250R in the crucible of tortuous Supercross competition. With an incredibly powerful engine, the XR650R will further establish Honda’s reputation as a builder of innovative, high-performance motorcycles that are exceptionally durable.

Re: Honda XR650R Info

i want to know the thing EVERYONE wants to know. HOW MUCH DOES IT WEIGH? i sure hope they shaved about 20lbs off from the xr600's weight. 30 would be great!

also i want to know the forks(i'm assumine they are xr400 forks, which would be a shame if they are)

also i want to know the fork rake. also i hope they are raked out more than the 400!!!!!! the 400 was too twitchy.

Re: Honda XR650R Info

try www.hondamotorcycles.com i didn't see any "insider" stuff, but it does have the xr650r in there, but NO SPECIFICS YET!!!!!!!! i've seen one post at another site that states Honda Specs at 277lbs. if that's right it's only 3lbs lighter than a 600. what gives????????

Thanks Wiley!

I'm supposed to have a press package from AMH tomorrow on this bike. We'll post what we get in our TOC for October. I hope to have some inside scoop as well.
