Re: YZF450 or CRF450 ?

personally i'd go with the honda, from what ive read it's much better, i know two ppl that own them, and they love them, and i'd rather the 5spd over the 4spd...ive heard the yz450 is pretty fast, extrememly fast, but only a 4spd, so i'd still go for the honda, hauls ass, and u have a wider variety of gears

WR450f and put a YZ tank on it if I didnt need the fuel range or a KTM ............ But then again I'm happy with my CR500

Re: YZF450 or CRF450 ?

cr500 is wicked
i would go with the honda liek josh said, i have read nd heard it to be the best bike out now, that bike "took the competion" and also like josh said i would prefer another gear, not for speed but for where i ride, it would most likely be to low, but then again the power out of that 450 still could kick you off in 4th

Re: YZF450 or CRF450 ?

.....Well after riding both- , and reading MXA's shoot out results .
I have decided to go with the Yamaha .
.....Even with the 4 gears it's still faster and over all . The power seemed to explode from the bottom up vs rolling up like the electric feel of the HONDA..Plus I already have a whole set of wheels with paddles and such for Glamis..Picking it up this Friday! Yeehaaa

Re: YZF450 or CRF450 ?

.....Actually I only do 10% of my riding at mother G (hence the extra set of wheels and tires). The rest is all track riding. glen Helen, Lake Elsinore, Perris etc.

Re: YZF450 or CRF450 ?

but ur not gonna be riding in the woods are ya? see i figured myself on them two bikes and figured i'd want the crf more because of the extra gear, because i ride a lot of tight woods, alot of it, and the yzf would be a pain sometimes, i'd say if ur riding all track, and the dunes, then u definatly went for the right one!
