Re: crf150f or ttr125l

Neither of them are *fast*, per se. How much, if any, riding have you done in the past?

The TTR is lighter but slower. The Honda is heavier but has some better components and more power. Plus, BBR ( www.bbrmotorsports.com ) makes some trick stuff for both of them.

If you plan on mx at all, you will out grow either of them fast. If you are riding trails they will last longer for you.

Re: crf150f or ttr125l

o yes boring is not even the word, unless you are very big, it is xsorta fun to ride something very small, as for being fast, dont know about the crf150f, seems like another ttr, drum rear brakes and all that slow motor stuff
i thought the 300 was slow as hell until i rode the 125l a while ago, maxed out coming up my path, and belive me it wasnt fast, maybe 35-42 at the most....i would go with neither, and josh's choices are a bit high, the kdx200 is very fast for a beginner dirtbiker, having a blaster might help but i would consider a kx 100? kx 85? cr85 expert? yz 85? those are supposed to rip, they can take 400ex's and the saet hight isnt to high and being someone who owns a blaster i am sure your not to tall, so i would definetly go with one of those bikes, the cr 80 expert is impresive and yz 85 is as well, my "smaller freind" is getting one because he is good at abikes but very short, the bike is FAST, a year ago my other friend had a kx85 big wheel, now that was very fast for a bike that small, a year ago it could take u and throw u off, jsut becasue it is a 85 doersnt mean its small or slow
my 2 cents

If he's 5'8" an 80 or 100 would be way too small. A XR 200 wouldn't be bad, but he'd outgrow it fast. A KDX would be a great bike--they have a lot of power, but they're pretty smooth.
