carb problems?

89 yz250wr overbored 1 mil.wiesco piston

after i rebuilt my top end it seems like now that when i let off the gas it doesnt allways slow down quickly like it should. it should like pop to a slow when you let the gas off so theres engine breaking right away right? mine is more of a slow rpm drop. i dont remember it like this before the rebuild. im still runing a mix of about 18-1 oil/gas right now for the break in. ive tore the carb apart and cleaned/adjusted EVERYTHING in there. could it be the oil gas mixture, jeting, something else? any help would be GREATLY appretiated!
thanks
mike

Re: carb problems?

Pretty much every higher strung 2 stroker I've ridden does some free wheeling unless you touch the brake a bit. 18 to one? Lol never heard of anyone going that rich, even for initial break-ins. When the temp is cooler then normal out my cr will free wheel a bit more then normal, doesn't sound like anything to serious to me though.
