\'74 TS250 problem

I've got a '74 Suzuki TS 250 that will start and run....but it will not rev....it might rev up to about 1500 or so RPM but then it bogs down and starts to die.....Any ideas what to look for to fix this??

Thanks, KevinW.

Re: \'74 TS250 problem

I got a 76 mr250, that sat in a barn for years, it had the same problem. I bought a new air filter, drained the gas, put some fuel oil in the tank, shook the crap out of it to get the varnish out, cleaned the carb, and put a new spark plug in it. Its ran like a top ever since. Use at least premium, or high test. I use golden spectro 50 or 40 to one. Good luck

Re: \'74 TS250 problem

Could be electrical .............. those bikes have points?

I'd clean every bit of electrical connection I could find...

Does the bike completly die if you keep the throttle open?
