Re: wr250

well i don't really know quite exactly what ur talking about...WR250, their's a couple choices, the new wr250f...or the older wr250...the thing about u saying you saw it at the dealership makes me think wr250f...as far as them, it's mainly a yz250f...tuned down, slower first gear, but a higher 5th gear...and whereas the yz250f has close ratio 5spd so you can just snap through the gears like crazy the wr250 has a 5spd wide ratio...will have a weighted down flywheel so it doesn't spin all the time like it's motocross brother...the suspension setup is different, much softer than the yz250f...of course it has a headlight too...and i think she's electric start...as far as bad things about it, i havn't heard any, if he gets it he's definatly going to want to respect it ALOT, going from a ttr125 to a wr250f is a big change...the WR250f would be a fun bike for him im pretty sure of it, im guessing he just rides alot of woods, i wouldn't reccomend taking it to the local motocross track...

Re: wr250

I met a guy last year, right after I picked up my DR, who had a WR250F, he seemed to like it a lot in the woods. I haven't talked to him since, but I saw his truck pulling into the riding area with a new Cannondale on the trailer, so I don't know if he still has the WR. He had nothing but good things to say about it though.
