Cheap Suzuki DR200, should I buy?

It is a mid 80s with good plastic and decent tires, recent stock rebuild. It needs a stator and crank seal. My experience: I grew up on my Honda 110 3-wheeler, ride my cousin's .0100" overbore Raptor, 400exs... I have only ridden an 80 dirtbike but also grew up on BMX. Would this be a decent first bike for $100?

If it's only the stator and crank seals and all you want to do is putt around, sure...... Crank seals will be cheap and the stator you should be able to get rebuilt.

Chubby, what do you mean putt around? Is it a fairly slow bike? Has anyone had any big problems with these compared to others?

The suspension and power will be nothing to brag about but for a first bike it's fine. Like Rooster said if thats what you're paying for it and for the little bit to get it going.....you should be able to sell it for more than you paid for it.
