help with power valve for newbe

first this site ROCKS ......

ok now onto my question i just got a 85 yz125 cheap and well it needs TLC. 1 problem i have is when i start the bike i get lots of smoke coming from the seal on the waterpump side. i had to remove the clutch cover a new clutch was put in and they didn't locktight the nut so it came off. and i also put a new gasket between the head and pipe old one was shot.

well after all that now with idel screw all the way in it will not idel! is this from the leak in the powervalve seals??

ohh yeah the valve also seems real slopie in the head(don't look good i know)maybe new parts r in order.....

Don't get discouraged, there are some good folks here that can help you with your powervalve questions, unfortunately, I'm not one. There are a couple fellas here that seem to give pretty good advice so keep checking. Dirtrider.net might be of some help to you too. Good luck.

Ok .... I'm pretty sure that your 85 dosnt have a "powervalve". But either way sounds like you need to get the service manual for sure.

Sorry thats the best I can do
