Msr aluminum handlebars

Are they any good. I want to replace my stock steel ones which bend everytime I wipe out. Will these ones bend from the bike falling over?? I want to buy the strongest bars I can.

Re: Msr aluminum handlebars

Another bar idea is to run aluminum bark busters. They will save bars from some pretty nasty get-offs. I swear by them.

Re: Msr aluminum handlebars

saw a guy break a wrist with those things after going over the bars, none for me thanx.

any decent renthals, fly, or such will take all but a concussion inducing crash. pro tapers are the best though in my opinion

Re: Msr aluminum handlebars

Hey port, you shoulda told that guy he was supposed to let go of the bars when doing handstands like that! I've heard of double wrist breaks too, but in the trees I ride in, I'll take that risk to save my knuckles from being hammered flat......ouch!

Re: Msr aluminum handlebars

I use the aluminum bark busters as well, and the aluminum on both sides is pretty scarred up and stained with tree rubbed into them. I like em. Never thought about a wrist break though. That'd hurt.
