help with a XL125

i am having a problem with my dirtbike(1978 honda XL125), it will have a nice blue spark one time, and the next it wont even spark. It runs but, it only fires once out of the 4 times it should. I set the points, and it still did it. I was thinking it might be the condenser coil. i can get it running, but it sounds horrible, and if i try reving it, it dies. i am out of ideas, and i am hoping one of you guys could help me wiht this!
any help will be greatly appreciated.

Man you need to step up up to a bike from the 80's

I know your sure it's not any stupid wires or anything like that......

Have you checked the resistance of the coil and all that?

Re: help with a XL125

i tested the sparkplug coil, and it passed with flying colors. i am buying a 2002 ttr225 in 2 months. if i can handle a 1977 pe250 really good, i am sure i can handle a 225 even better. or aleast i hop so :P. i am not sure about the resistance thing, i phone my honda dealer, but they were closed. i spent 211$ on getting it i fixed and i got it back, and it was worst than before. i hate them, i am going to sue them i think...
