CArb Adjustments

Although it's not a true dirt bike I have a 1974 Honda CB125 geared tired for off road. I don't have a manual and need help adjusting the carb. I'm not sure what screw is what and currently it won't idle worth a darn. Runs fine at high rpm, but dies when you try to idle it down. Also seems like I have to use the choke to start it almost every time. What are the initial settings and correct procedure to adjust the carb. Will have to admit, it's rather cold in mid Michigan right now, but I'd like to get the bike running right so that I can sell it.

Re: CArb Adjustments

hows it run with the choke on, has it been sitting for awhile, whats the plug look like(white)

I dont know if I ever worked on one but even if I did I wouldnt remeber where the dif carb screws are. but anyways it sounds like it may have plugged pilot jet, I think the pilot may be plugged because you said it idles up at higher rpms then you kick it down it doesnt want to idle,
the pilot is idle to 1/4 throttle

give me some more info and Ill try and help as much as I can
