NEED HELP ASAP WITH OLDER SUZUKI 175!!!!

GOD DAMNIT! the bike has been acting good UNTILL TODAY!!!!!! i go out there fill put some gas in it (tomorrow someone is coming to buy it) and as soon as it goes into the engine... IT COMES OUT OF A HOSE. sorry i dont really know what hose it is, im not really a dirtbike guy. its a PE175 suzuki made in 78... anyone know whats going on?!?!?!!? the hose seems to be coming out of the engine block, or maybe the carb. dont know for sure...

I NEED HELP ASAP! BUYERS ARE COMING TOMORROW!

Bet it's coming out of the carb overflow hose. Turn the gas on and tap the side of the float bowl (lower part of carb), keep tapping it (with a pliers or screwdriver) and hopefully the gas will stop flowing out. The float or float needle is probably sticking, lots of times you can knock it loose the way I described. Hope it works for you. Ed.

so could it be just gummed up (the needle)? from being stored the whole winter, i dont remember storing it correctly, but i hope that is it... thx alot!!!!!!!!

Yep, unless there's a hole in something, I agree with Ed, more than likely your floats are sticking and not shutting off the flow of gas into the bowl, so it's coming out the over flow hose. Easy enough to fix. That's a pretty old bike so there may be "stuff" in your bowl, If you have to remove the float bowl, it should be self explanatory as to what to clean. In a rough sort of way, it works kind of like your toilet bowl, when the water rises "gas" in the bowl, the floats rise and shut off the flow of fluid. Almost misspelled a word there, Josh would have gotten me good!!
