XR200R won\'t start

My 2000 XR200R will not start. I was riding it at a dirt track, took a couple of spills, but it started after everyone. Took a break to eat and it wouldn't start. I change the plug, drained the tank and put fresh premium fuel in it. I have spark and fuel but it will not start. I tried bump starting, disconnected kill switch, nothing works. Any ideas before I get raped and robbed from the Honda dealer.

Re: XR200R won\'t start

This is going to sound basic but I have a "buddy" that likes to turn my gas off when I'm not paying attention. So, your gas is on, right? Air filter's not too clogged?

Re: XR200R won\'t start

My gas is on. My filter was pretty dirty, but it wouldn't start after I cleaned it and left it off.

XR80man I had to order a manual. Honda dealer said it cost $40. I don't want to mess with the Carb until I get the manual. Don't want to make things worst. U from Jersey XR80.

Re: XR200R won\'t start

yea im in nj. u cant mess anything up by taking the throttle slide out. just unscrew the top of the carb and pull the slide out its easy. berlinton isnt far. what town? im in berlin. heres a diagram of the 1/2 assed design they have to hold the needle in. look at parts 7 on the list thing. the top is all u need the unscrew and pull out the entire thing

Re: XR200R won\'t start

Sorry, didn't read your first post closely enough. Guess you have spark and gas so I deleted my "see if you have spark and gas" drivel. Good luck with your bike. Ed in Iowa.

Re: XR200R won\'t start

the old plug was black. U from berlin. U must go to Chatsworth. That's where I was when my bike quit. I live in Burlinton, right off 295 exit 47. I don't know anything about bikes, but I'm learning. I got it from my son who has a 2001 YZ125. He don't know anything either except how to ask Dad for more money. But to his credit at only 16 yrs old, he is serious about his bike and is learning fast. I will try throttle slide. Thanks for your help and the link

Re: XR200R won\'t start

Hit the carb bowl with something a couple of times. Sometimes the float can get stuck!
