Dual Sport or Enduro??
Hey guys- I've got a dilemna. I am buying a new bike this spring. I want a four-stroke, something bigger than a 250, watercooled, and it has to have electric start. I looked at the wr250, but too much $ for a 250, even if it is fast, and it doesn't have electric start. I really want a Suzuki DRZ400E, which is reasonably priced, but a little heavy. My major problem is this:I want to go on the road as well. Here in North Carolina, we can't register our bikes any more, even if we make 'em street legal. Baja Designs kits are no good to us anymore. If a bike has the "OFF-ROAD USE ONLY" stamp on it, you're screwed. SOOO, I'm wondering if I will REALLY get the same OFFROAD performance out of a street legal DRZ400 that I would out of an enduro version. Of course, I already know that I will need more aggressive tires than the stock street-legal ones, but other than that, how are they off-road? Any complaints about the "taller" gearing? Thanksa bunch for any help!
