Info on class 5 engines...

I'm need to start gathering more info and expand my knowledge of VW engines. Can anyone please lead me in the right direction? I specifically need class 5 engine info. Thanks,

5 Unlimited is just that. You can go VW type1-type 4 some guys use the rabbit motor. Iv'e seen Toyota powered 5 unlimited cars. The only thing there might be a limitation on is displacement, and I'm not real sure about that.

5/1600 is simple-Type 1 1600 with single port heads and single barrel carb, very strict on displacement and configuration. Compression, heads, cam and tranny are the combining factors to get a bunch of power out of a 5/1600 car. And try to keep the car itself as light as possible.Hope this helps.
