Baja 500

Does anybody know what happened to the Class 5 entry # 504. We saw the car at the border crossing in Tecate after the race looking pretty crunched up top. I was just wondering and hoping everybody was OK.

Thanks, george.

Re: Baja 500

may have been one of the buggies that went off the cliff at the 33 mile mark, just like the tecate 7`s truck.....
I know one of the class 5 drivers was air lifted out.dont know who it was.from what i hear alot of trucks, buggies and a few quads crashed in that section of the cliff`s.

Re: Baja 500

Off the cliff?

Why did this happen?

We had zero problems there during the race in #270 and pre-running on Thursday?

Did you see the rock that Robby and Post hit near this same section?

Here's a story for you..

At race mile 45 or so Robby Gordon nailed THE huge rock before Ojo's and tore up the right front corner on Friday. Gordon's crew thrashed getting it together the day before the race to start. In the meanwhile while thrashing the Riviera team (purchaser's of robby's old truck), came down to give robby [censored]. Well the day of the race, Riviera hit the same rock putting them out with a broken hub, tube frame being bent, etc, etc... Robby had cooling problems on the start and was down on time, but he had enough time to pull up to Mark Post (Riviera), and give him [censored] for 3 minutes for hitting the same rock
