CV boot protection

Do you guys have enough of a headache with replacing CV boots that you'd spend another $75-100 on a product that would help insure they didn't fail from tears? I've got an idea for boot protection, but don't want to get too involved if there's not a need for it. I've had to replace two in a year, and it was enough hassle/expense to get me thinking. Thanks
