CABO 500 Announcement
Big News from The CABO 500 fellow racers!
The La Paz Automotive Club (The club that has for the last 12 years put on the biggest race in Baja South, its for points in the Mexican Offroad Championship, The Dos Mares 500) and the Baja Safari Mexico Club (The club that offers services for visitors to Mexico) have agreed to put the CABO 500 and the Dos Mares 500 together!
What this means is that the CABO 500 - Dos Mares 500 will be held in April 2006, it will be a point to point desert race from La Paz to Cabo San Lucas. This race is for points with the Mexican Federation of Offroad racing for the Mexican Offroad Championship!
The CABO 500 - Dos Mares 500, is sanctioned by the Federation Mexicana de Auto de Automovillsmo Deportivo and the Baja California South Offroad Association.
Racers form all over Mexico compete, 170 entries competed in this years event, which was in May, 2005.
An incredible race course is planned! The spectacular start is on the Malecon of the capital of Baja South, La Paz. Racing on the beaches of the Sea Of Cortez, on the beaches of the Pacific Ocean and finishing on the white sands of the Medano Beach in Cabo San Lucas!
The Government of Baja South, the La Paz Automotive Club and the Baja Safari Mexico Club all invite desert offroad racers to the historic 2006 CABO 500 - Dos Mares 500, in April. Customized Insurance, Logistics and Team Services used by NASCAR for the recent, historic, Mexico 200, are available.
