Re: since the bbs seems to be faster

I really can't justify that. You need to become familiar with the many dozens of image optimization programs available in freeware to commercial. No image under 800x600 pixels should be over 50k in size if one of these applications is used.

Re: since the bbs seems to be faster

Did they *attach it to the post* or did they *provide links from another website*? Put a link to that thread please. I'm interested.

You can *always* link external pictures in your threads. The FAQ tells how to do that. They don't want big pictures tying up the *ORC* server(s) though. Since the big pictures some people post are linked from another site it doesn't stress ORC's servers at all to use them. The post just tells the computer it has to download images from a certain site, seperate from ORC if they're not attached in a post.

Will try to explain that a bit better if need be...

Re: since the bbs seems to be faster

Here is a 46K picture with good quality I uploaded in the past. Easy as pie to resize and keep resolution with MS Picture It! There is no reason that you need a bigger picture then this

I don't have a problem with the size, just that there is not an error message if it is between 50-100k.
