Test Forum - Pic Dump

i know we all use the Test Forum as a picture dumping ground....but I'm curious as to how much space that board takes up. i do not want to lose the board or the pic-uploadability <--- is that a word??? ...but i wonder, is that board slowin' things down??

Re: Test Forum - Pic Dump

Perhaps we need a specific board for posting pics? Where the posts expire after one-two months? would that help? Only problem there, is that you'd lose pictured from archived posts that referenced them.

You would also lose your sig pic if the post it is in is deleated. I found that out the hard way.

Re: Test Forum - Pic Dump

That board shouldn't be causing any slow downs. What takes the processing power is finding all the posts that belong in a thread and building an HTML page out of it. The biggest resource hog is probably the search engine.
Serving up an image takes very little CPU power, and no one goes and looks at the posts in the Test board, so IMO, it has very little effect on CPU load and speed.
