Exclamation HOYT PENLAND BAJA ACCIDENT - Your help needed

Hey race fans and friends. If you were following our Baja 1000 LIVE coverage, you know that Sportsman ATV rider Mike Penland's son Hoyt was seriously injured during the race Tuesday night. He suffered a compound fracture of his leg, among other injuries.

He has already had several emergency surgeries in Mexico and is due to come home for more treatment, but the team needs our help.

They can't come home until the doc bill is paid - in cash, immed. They also could use assist getting emergency transport for other team members and the bike (what wasn't stripped off as he lay in an ambulance) home.

If you can help in any way, please contact RICK SOSEBEE, at [[email protected]]

If you would like to send well wishes to Hoyt, Mike or their family, feel free to post them here and we'll forward them along. He's doing better, stabilized but in a lot of pain. He has a long road ahead.

Here we are again with yet another great update.
Hoyt will be flying out of Lapaz tonight to Ensenada. Mike will be driving there from Lapaz. They will meet up tomorrow and cross the border soon there after. They will get into San Diego and stay the night. Hoyt and family friend Doug Berryman will be flying out of SanDiego at 9:15 pm thursday night.
Mike will be driving home fromn California soon there after.
So where do we go from here?
Hoyt will be needing multiple doctor visits when he gets home and continued support for the months top come. Finances are always in need but support via cards and calls will be needed as well.
Mike has yet to secure his needs to get the trailer and truck back home. Please remember him during the next three or four days.
I would like to thank all of you fine people here and all over the atv community for your support. I would like to thank Rider Down.org and the fine people that are advocates to help them make miracles happen.
These guys picked up the plane fights and i cannot say enough about their professionalism and patience in working this all out..Great Job Guys.
Through all of this we will learn just how powerful working together can be and i hope this would inspire everyone to reach out to anyone who needs you because someday you may need them..
Thanks again,
Rick Sosebee
