Re: Henderson 300 !

Actually, I wasn't going to race but just help pit, then Bob Kelsoe sent me an email and wants me to race it with him. If he likes it, he wants to do the whole series next year. I told him he will like it! He just got his cast off his wrist last week.

I know that tech/contingency are going to be down the main road in "old town Henderson"... Do you guys know where sign-ups are going to be? I know the rider's meeting will be at the convention center again also. Where is everyone staying?

Re: Henderson 300 !

from what i read we are going once around the car and truck corse then we do the rest on our own corse thats only 35 miles long but its says tight and technical. oh we fun. so do you gear for the fast section to get ahead and deal with the taller gears in the tight or do you gear down for the tec and get cought in the fast? either way our bikes are now getting preped. woohoo!

Re: Henderson 300 !

This is right of the BITD site;
4) The race course will be different than most other Best In The Desert event in several ways:
1. As always, safety for everyone is the number one concern of Best In The Desert. To make sure the Henderson's Terrible "300" course layout will be safe, we have gone to a great deal of extra work and expense.
2. The Car/Truck racecourse will be five (5) times around a 65-mile course, totally 325 miles, with One (1) Central Pit and three (3) alternate pits.
3. The Motorcycle/Quad racecourse will be one (1) time around a 65-mile course and then six (6) times around a thirty-five (35) mile loop, totally 275 miles, with the same central pit as the Cars & Trucks and one (1) alternate pit. MC/Q 35-mile course very tight and technical!
