glamis thanksgiving

this is my favorite time of the year. Is anyone else making the pilgrimage.

it's the biggest race of the year. a one on one you verses the BLM ranger. It reminds me of the rabbit versus the turtle. the rabbit (me) smokes the turtle (BLM) so he calls all his friends (highway patrol, imperial county sheriffs department, even helicopters) to try to cut the rabbit off. all because he doesn't have a tail light or a sticker.

just kidding, I'm excited.

Re: glamis thanksgiving

Desratt,

I will be there. I am flying in 11/22 and will be pulling out Sunday morning 11/28. We should meet up and drink some cold ones!

I like you little rabbit vs. hare analogy. That about sums it up! Last year we camped at buttercup right across from BLM. We were on vendor row. We had some guys abandon a sand rail in our camp. I am sure it was stolen but they told us we were welcome to use it. About 2 AM after many a crevasses we decided that was a good idea. We couldn't resist this thing has nitrous! I got the thing started and my two BITD teammates jumped in and were backing out of camp. We never saw them coming but before we knew it flashlights were everywhere. About an hour later they were cool and they let us go. We had to push the rail to across the street where they impounded it. Good times had by all!

Re: glamis thanksgiving

are you camping in the same area again?
we stay by the vender row on the north end of glamis by oldsmobile. we have taken day rides down to the I-8 area.

P.S. i forgot to mention the national guard. those hummers aren't really that good. but the dang tear gas makes me think twice.

Re: glamis thanksgiving

That's pretty funny!

I am not sure where we are camping this year.

I will talk to my pals Stacy and Nick and see where they want to camp this time. I would prefer to get out of Buttercup. It is not as far to drive but being home base for the turtle is never good. Plus being up in Glamis will give the girls more things to do.

I'll keep you posted.

Nate

Re: glamis thanksgiving

We will be at ButterCup just on the other side of the Gordons bridge. Should be out there around 7pm on Friday!

That's awesome Erik...I will swing by late Firday or Saturday afternoon.

I am stoked to get to meet a few riders before the '05 season starts!

Look for a 35ft. All White 5th Wheel ToyBox with Ridens Racing on the back.

Re: glamis thanksgiving

I can't wait to hit oldsmobile drags with my new set up.

I have nmotions 520 big bore kit,13:1, +2 intake valves +3 exhaust valves, vortex ignition, edelbrock carb, all this above and beyond my current set up.

before I was just behind my friends and their mildly modded banshee's now we'll se what happens.
