Re: 2004 parker 250

I raced it this year. Not to technical, I wasn't in shape and it was my first race so it put a hurt on me the next day. Rocks, whoops, sand and dust. The trails are wide enough to pass on the majority of the time, no water. Pro fees $700,Expert/Amateur fees $450, I dont think there is an ironman for quad.

Re: 2004 parker 250

how about the 2004 is it on the same route as the trucks and buggies in the parker 425? i'm trying to decide if i should be wide or narrow. it has helped me to do desert races narrow if there are alot of rocks or trees or tight stuff.
are you alowed to solo a class even though it isn't called an ironman class.
how does the layout look from pit to pit milage and everything ..

Here is the story from Last years race:

You could always IronMan it but there is not a specific class for Ironman Quad. The course was plenty wide last year.

Roll Call for Parker -

Who is attending Parker 250? We are trying to get things arranged so we can come down at race. We will ride project Z400.

Re: 2004 parker 250

it'll be my first bitd race i will attempt to ironman the pro class either on my honda/trinity 465ex alluminum frame with the rear shock mount moved up and back laeger components protrax t-pin front do you really want me to bore you with this
or the 450-r. but? any advice for a first time bitd racer. hows +3 a-arms +4 axle run on these courses?
also i will be using the hole shot xc not the xct's or the xcr's basically just real curious on the course. have raced ama hare and hounds usra snare desert races i usually need to be more narrow for those .

Re: 2004 parker 250

Team Teixeira Tech will be there too.

I don't want to be rude, but if you've never raced a BITD desert race before, why enter the PRO Class. It's more money and you don't know what to expect. Just my opinion.

Re: 2004 parker 250

It is nothing like a SNARE race. Those were GOAT trails. width is usally not a problem on a BTID course. Although the KTM 150 two years ago had a couple VERY narrow spots.

And by the way. Brett promises the 2004 NDRA courses will not be GOAT trails.
