New Youth Racing Class approved by AMA Board !

Here is a welcome change that I don't think many people expected:

91-200cc 2-stroke/91-300cc 4-stroke production ATV 14 & 15 (new class) -- With rider in normal riding position with hands on handlebars, there must be a bend in the elbows, fingers must reach all control levers. When standing on the foot rests or floor boards there must be a minimum 3' clearance between seat and inseam.

We needed somehwere for the future racers to get ready besides on a 90. I think this is a great step.

Comments?

Re: New Youth Racing Class approved by AMA Board !

thats great but ill be turning 15 in February and i ride a warrior which as you probably know is 348cc. is there any places i can ride? Can i ride a cross country race somewhere? There are no smaller atvs that really interest me and i have been riding atvs since i was 9. started out on a quadsport 230 but once i got the warrior i hate to even ride the thing, completely underpowered. What should i do?

It depends on the sanctioning body. You will not be able to race the warrior in AMA events but would be able to some of the other series. You will need to see who sanctions your local races.
