1996 Polaris Xplorer 400L Electrical Problem

I just bought a Polaris Xplorer, 1996 400L model. When troubleshooting the headlight I discovered not only was it blown but, all the lights were blown, including tailight.

I put a new tailight bulb in to check the situation and it was fine. 12Vdc on my meter with no sign of problem. Before I replace all the lights I wanted to check around to see if anyone has ran into this before.

Your input is appreciated!

Jeff

That situtation can happen by running the machine with no battery in it or running with a battery that is so dead it wont even think of taking any charge. Also if you run without a battery you can blow more then just light bulbs. Next inline after the bulbs is the speed limiter. That is one thing i would preach to my customers dont run it if the battery is dead charge it first or get a new one. Now if you out in the trail and the battery goes then you have no choice.

Can someone please bring me a hammer my 33's just ate my fender again. Damn i need more lift.
