Re: banshee mods?

On my 93...............

FMF Fatties, ported and bored cylinders, trued and welded crank, Pro Design cool head with 21cc domes;water impeller and EZ drain. Toomey radiator and 2:1 intake with foam and outerwear. +2" arms, +4"axle, twist throttle.

The FMF Fatties lost low end but gained explosive top end.

Re: banshee mods?

My father in law has a banshee, and his buddy who runs a performance machine shop took it, and modified the reed cage... Put some kind of metal reeds in place of the stock ones, and also trimmed the pieces back that stop the opening of the reeds...talk about a noticable difference!! WOW!! I'm amazed I haven't seen this in anyone elses postings yet!

Re: banshee mods?

I'm not sure if that's the technical term for it..I can find out. But it's a device that as you rap up the rpm's, it gradually dumps the compression from the chamber, robbing you of power. It's made to down tune the bike for safety. We made it so that you don't get robbed anymore! HUGE difference!!

Re: banshee mods?

I had Toomey T-5's on my old shee, and I am putting them on my new shee. What kind of riding do you do? Knowing that will help answer your question.

Re: banshee mods?

ya if its a powervalve...oh boy was that stupid

my friend got fmf fatties for his and it rips

fmf also has a whole top end kit- makes it a 400 with powervalves. im sure that would be impressive
