89 kawasaki mojave help

i have an 89 mojave. and i just had the valves adjusted, piston looked at, oil changed, air filter changed.. basically everything. and today i went out to ride, and it started on the first kick while it was cold.. then my friends and i shut out atvs off to sit for a little bit, and i tried to start mine back up, and it did NOT want to start at ALL! the only way i started it was to catch it in gear. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT CAN BE THE PROBLEM?

Re: 89 kawasaki mojave help

It could be it was just too hot, my friends four wheeler does that a LOT, did it have an engine rebuild just recently?? Newly rebuilt engines have a lot of friction, which causes them to heat up really hot, really quick.

Re: 89 kawasaki mojave help

Are you sure the valves are adjusted correctly? Sounds like they are too tight to me. I'd check then for sure.
