How much riding experience do you have? Where will you ride it? What is your budget.

Re: I need a quad

I thought of that stuff after I posted it. I am a new rider, I will be riding in south Jersey on trails and through some mud, we do have some sand but not like big amount. If I buy new I don't want to spend over $6000.

Re: I need a quad

I would recomend a Honda 400EX, it is one of the top quads out , it is in your price range it has electric start, it has excellent suspention, and it can be made(easily) into one of the fastest quads out there, it has a mild nature that a beginer needs yet it has the power for an experianced rider , one of the most versitile quads out , good luck on your decision and no matter what you get HAVE FUN

Re: I need a quad

What are your thoughts on a yamaha warrior or the polaris scramblers (400 or 500). I'm not a honda nut, If I find that the honda will be the best for me I will get it.

Re: I need a quad

i personally don't like polaris quads. the scramblers are kinda in between utility and sport. but they are
'go get the tractor and chains' heavy. warriors are nice, good for beginners. i have rode them before and like them. but you will grow out of it. and if you're in this for the long run and don't want to have to trade up i would really say the 400ex is an exelent ride. i have also rode this machine. good power, very light and room to hop up. basshee's are kick a$$ quads but may be intimidating for the beginner and take more to ride fast, also more maintainance.
