[email protected]#%!!ing brakes

i have been working on the front brakes on the 300ex for 7 hours and only have gotten the pads on one side...is this normal!?!? the frickers are hard to get on! they seem so close in tolerance that they are imposible to get on....the warrior isnt near this hard to put the pads on....there seems to be some stipid little nub that sticks out that hits..im thinking of just grinding this effer off....so anyway does anyone have any tips for getting brakes off that involve minimal loss off life?

havent done brakes on a 300ex but I do know that the nub your talking about is verry imporant, DONT FILE IT OFF, try (like a car) to turn the piston as your pushing on it to get it back in the caliper

Re: [email protected]#%!!ing brakes

well my bro got the caliper on...he said it wasnt hard he just slipped it on...haha so i dunno what the problem was...but now a new brake problem with it! the seal on the rear piston is bad (we think) so brake fluid leaks out around the parking brake block off and there is no preasure in the system, what i want to know is what all is involved in taking the caliper apart. i would assume drain fluid and just start taking off what needs to be off...thanks for any help
