Hole in case! HELP!

Hey guys. I have an 85' quadracer and yesterday I was riding and a rock or sumthing got stuck in my chain and swung around and hit a piece on my case. The hole thing ripped off. The hole is about 1/4in wide and a little less than 1/4in high. I was thinkg of taking some moose quicksteel epoxy and using it on it. I was thinking of taking the epoxy and putting some in and then putting a flat metal bar over the hole and seal it up. I don't know if this will work but I really need help from you guys. So, please reply with any info you can give me. Thanks guys.

Re: Hole in case! HELP!

Go with you last idea with a flat bar. or go with the welding. either way it will work

Re: Hole in case! HELP!

JB weld works for a little while , NOT PERMANANT , keep a close eye on the oil level , you can ruin your engine if you run out, the best way to fix your problem is to get it welded, and I bet it wont cost much, ITS YOUR ENGINE!!!
