Carb Delema

I ordered a 38mm mikuni TMX flat slide for my 98 400 2-stroke scrambler, but then I traded it for a 01 500 4-stroke. The 500 came stock with a 40mm CV mikuni.
Would there be any performance gain by putting the 38mm TMX on and removing the 40mm CV? I know the 38mm TMX is a high performance carb, but it is a little
smaller!! Help Me out Please!

Re: Carb Delema

I do not believe you will see a gain perse...but you may see a bit of a difference in adjusting it. I would stick with the 40....the 38 will end up making you work alot harder to find the sweet spot of arburation heaven
