how to rebuild lt250

All right folks, gonna be gettin a suzuki 250 qracer. i want to do the usual check up, and if need be, a rebuild. what should i check? how do i do it? lil bit of a newbie to this atv engine stuff, but i know how to turn a wrench ;-)

start it first and see how it runs, i am never to particular on the engine cause whenever i buy a new quad i always rebuild the engine cause it only cost about $250 but make sure the cases arent cracked or anything, so things i would check are the
#1. frame make sure it doesnt have any cracks
#2. look underneath the frame and the skid plates you can tell how bad the bike was beat buy what the underneath looks like (how beat up it is)
#3. always check the swingarm and the a-arms for any cracks
#4. and just use common sense from there remember anything that is worn out or almost worn out is going to cost you money, so anything like balding tires worn sprockets and chain just be aware that it can build up to serious money in no time
