Re: Engine is popping, HELP

If cleaning the carb. doesent help I would make sure the plug wire isnt shorted out to ground , you can check that with the lights off in the shop (garage) and run it (making it pop) you will see the spark jump if it is, if so just replace the plug wire
GOOD LUCK

Well, I took the filters right out and it still does it, I have cleaned the carb,no better, I do not see any sparks. This is tough. Thanks for all your help. I will keep trying to figure it out. I even adjusted the valves, and still no better.

Re: Engine is popping, HELP

It is just above idle when it starts, but when up get into it, it gets worse. it is more of a flatening out then a pop, but it does pop, does not seem to be out the carb, if you give it full throttle it first goes flat then goes then flat then goes, but won't go if you hold it full throttle, it just bogs. thats the best I can explain it. Thanks again.
