Wheelies

I have a friend that has a 1986 Yamaha 250 three wheeler. He was wondering what was harder on the engine for popping wheelies. Is mashing the throttle or would it be pulling the clutch, mashing throttle then dumping clutch? I would figure it would be pulling revving dumping, but what do you have to say?

Re: Wheelies

your friend is better off using the power of the engine to pull wheelies, reving the engine then dumoing the clutch is hard on the clutch not the engine

Re: Wheelies

i agree with raptor_rider, dumping the clutch wont hurt the engine...but it will kill the clutch. just use the motors power

And it will hurt when he nails it right on top RPM, and it throws him off the back...
