Re: compression???

Don't know what compression should be. I do know that it won't tell you much about you're 2 stroke. You need a leak down tester. I found plans to make one somewhere on the net about a year ago.

Re: compression???

It really depends on the engine, I just did a top end on my ktm 350 and got a compression of about 150 psi. Most bikes need at least in the 100's to run, but that is only a general statement. The ktm stoped running at 130.

Re: compression???

My Zilla is rnning 190 psi- the heads been milled, o rniged and polished .the Zilla is so hard to kick over with this much comp but it has a lot more low end torque than any other quad . Mark

Keep the rubber side down!

Re: compression???

If it only has 50 psi then tear it down and rebuild it. It should have a lot more then that.

Re: compression???

average compression for a 2 stroke motor is 110-150 psi. The banshee is at about 125-135 normally....so I would assume that the lt500r would be about the same if not a tad bit higher....
