interested in starting off road park.

this may seem crazy but i found some land that would be perfect for a off road park in central indiana and was wondering what peoples general opinion would be on something like that. would you go or not? would you camp or not? what would you pay to ride and camp? any responses would be apriciated.

Re: interested in starting off road park.

My brother owned a motocross track in Texas for awhile.(=Free racing for me!)

The Insurance which you HAVE to get is very expensive $$$$

Also you are required to have an ambulance and EMT's there at all times the park is open $$$$

Then the EPA get involved, and you have to have a watertruck there to keep the dust down $$$$

All of these things, and probably a few others I can't think of right now,
eats ALL profits and drives the price up to where people won't pay, what you HAVE to charge

Sorry I don't mean to sound so negative, but I thought you should know

Re: interested in starting off road park.

yeah like the others said there is some major jing involved. i was talking to the owner of the local track i go to on saturday, and he told me that insurance alone for 3 set practice days of the week and 1 set race day of the week was $1475 a week. thats a bunch! i would think it over...i would love to have my own track on my own land, but i dont think i would open it up to the public, just for some friends.
