Re: 6 foot tall to big for 400ex?

I am 6'3" and 190 lbs and I feel just fine on my 400EX. It has plenty of room. I don't understand the problem. As far as physical size goes the 400EX is just as big as any other sport quad.

Im 6-1 and i have real LONG legs and i dont feel comfortable on it. my legs are real close to the fenders and it seems like i cant move around alot. go to the dealer and test ride on and see how it feels.

I know a fella who is 6'3" and 260lbs and can ride a stock 400ex better then anyone in I know. He's never lost a hare scramble or a woods race. Marc

Re: 6 foot tall to big for 400ex?

Greetings,

I am 6"6 and weigh a mere 265lbs. I own both a 2001 400EX and a 2001 Raptor. I have no problems riding either quad and actually prefer the 400EX for certain types of rides over the Raptor. i think you will be very pleased with either quad. However, depending on the type of riding you do, you might wish to consider dropping the front sprocket on the quad. The 400EX comes stock with a 15-tooth front sprocket and I dropped my down to a 13-tooth for added low-end.

I would suggest, if you can swing it, getting the Raptor. The power and suspension is tough to beat for overall riding performance. This is just my opinion though!
