I got a question for all you expierenced riders...

Hello guys and girls,

I'm looking at getting a new quad bike, and I'm currentlly looking at the Kawasaki Mojave. This is only my second bike to own, and it's gonna have alot more power then my original Bayou 220. Do you think this is a good idea for me to get?

Also, if I do get it.. What can I add to it to make it as fast as I can?

Thanx

The mojave will have a bit more power, it will be sportier, exciting. Just add some aftermarket pipes, and bring the front sprocket up one tooth and see how it goes from their, you could also go to the little things like special air filters, bigger back wheels, if you really wanted extreme, put an overbore kit in it...

Re: I got a question for all you expierenced riders...

i have never rode a mojave, so i dont know what kind of power they put out, but i think you might want something a little more exciting for that type of riding. maybe look at a used (or new) Warrior or a 400EX, i think either of those two machines would be a better ride for you than a mojave. if you arent dead set on a 4 stroke, a 2 stroke machine would provide much more fun in the sand than a 4 stroke. hope this helps.

If you are a good rider, and have the money, look at the Raptor...I heard its a blast to ride and has gobs of power.
If not then stick with a warrior our 400ex.

If you go up one tooth on the front sprocket you will be faster on the top end, if you go down one tooth on the front it will be quicker off the line.

Re: I got a question for all you expierenced riders...

I live in Blackwell. Northern OK. And I dont got the money to get a Raptor or 400EX that's why I'm lookin at the Mojave's, cause there only $4100.00 and takin a Bayou 220 to the dunes isn't much fun.. That's why I usually just rent a bike when I go up there..

I was also lookin at maybe a 250R 4-wheeler, or a Blaster?

You can get a nice like '95-'96 modded banshee for $4100, and a REALLY nice trx250r for that.
