Tachometers?

Anyone put a tach on your quad? i was thinking last night that it would be cool looking as anything, and it would serve a purpose just to let you know how many your engine is turning. is it possible on a 2 stroke? anyone care to share how to do it? would a regular car tach work? thanks guys.

Re: Tachometers?

Ron Wood (DS650 GURU)in cali. makes one for the ex and the BOMBardier, not sure about the banshee. I bet you could get a tach from Digitron, they make them for kart racing, and I ran one on a single cylinder, 150cc 2 stroke....they make a tach for twin 2 strokes(2 singles) the pickup in sim. to a timing lite, picks up off the plug wire with a zip tie. I think they are in wash state. Go to www.4cycle.com and try the links page.

Looks like a neat product. I might have to try one. I just put a temp gauge from an R/C car on my Quadracer.
