A-Arms or Swingarm 1st?

What does everyone reccomend to buying first. Extended a-arms or a longer swingarm? When I get a longer swing arm it is only going to be a few inches. I'm going to be racing my quad this year. Mainly MX. I want both bad. But what is going to help me the most? I have works shocks on the front and the stocker on the back. Will the works shocks work if I get a-arms or will in need to buy longer travel shocks at the same time? As you can tell I don't no much about this. How much do both of these help the rideability of your quad?
Thanks for all the help.

Re: A-Arms or Swingarm 1st?

i have some old foogy friends that use to race mx and flat track back when the 250r's first came out and they say that wider is better so i would go with wider a-arms depending on what the bike is i would suggest +2 and my friends rode 250r's and they shortened their swingarms because it gives a better turning radius if you are going to drag race you want a longer swing arm but if you are going to be doing flat track or mx you want a shorter swing arm so it turns better

i hope my advice helps

may my zilla live forever

A arms will give you more stability and wheel travel. ALso, most allow adjustments for camber and caster.

You will need longer brake lines with either mod.
On Banshees, they say to run a 1" longer 250R shock.
Dont know about the Suzukis.

A swing arm is good for stability in straight line action, but they dont turn so well.

I would say A-arms. The bike will handle better. But once you do, you will want a siwngarm soon after.
