FLYWHEEL (negative weight?)

Anybody here know how to lighten a flywheel? I seen some pictures on banshee370's site that said they had a lightened flywheel on their machine, that would give it more acceleration right??

Josh:
You can lighten your stock flywheel.... Less rotating mass means that the engine will rev up faster. I believe for every pound of rotating mass you remove is equal to removing 7 pounds from the bike. Its not something you can do yourself... Send it to someone that is a professional and have them do it the right way.. I believe the average cost is 45.00$. I will have pics in a few weeks of my stock flywheel after it has been cut.

Re: FLYWHEEL (negative weight?)

So, how much does the average flywheel for a 125-250 way? I didn't even think they weighed a pound.

Re: FLYWHEEL (negative weight?)

usually I would not recommend modifying the flywheel on a 125 or 250...they are usually speced out pretty damn close....
