recon power

i would like to give my 2001 a little more low end boost in the low gears especially 3rd and 4th and maybe a little more top end. should i go with a pipe? any help apprecaited

pipe and maybe giving it more air....many of the quads out there are choked...

Consider a high quality air filter and also a new pipe...possibly supertrap IDS2

yeah i saw the supertrap ids2 and real pleased. will it make jetting finicky? hate [email protected]#$$$% with durn carburaters. so what it sounds like so far is i should go with jet kit k&n and a pipe?

What i have heard it is not necessary to buy the jet kit from k&n. Airborn has told me that just find out what size jet u have and buy the next 2 or 3 sizes up from that. If you get this mods please inform me on how u like them. I am considering them on my KingQuad.

I rode with someone who had a new 250EX which is what I understand a souped up version of the Recon? what they did from the factory is great that thing really flies. Check the spec's on that.

i read an article about the 250ex. that thing is what i want. just right for my needs, with the shaft drive to bad it came out a few months after i bought my recon. i heard they changed the valve timing and put an oil cooler on it and gave it a bit better gearing and cut 50 pounds off of it.
